Bits of my (long) weekend

This weekend I headed up to Newcastle with Peter to visit his sister. She took us to Tynemouth, all around Newcastle, to the wonderful Baltic restaurant, and then drove us up to Northumberland, where Peter and I were camping.

We went to an amazing market where I spent all my pocket money…

We sampled the delights of Newcastle city centre…

We took my favourite ever photo of the two of us…

We ‘glamped’

And generally had a wonderful time walking along Hadrian’s Wall

Plus, we got to sing Bryan Adams all weekend, because we visited “the tree” from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

We also stopped into York on the way home and walked along the city wall and ate a totally non-Dukan Rabbit cookie and Fat Rascal at the legendary Betty’s Tea Room. YUM. So good.

Brilliant weekend. Really. Thank you so much to Frances and James for showing us around Newcastle and driving us up to Hadrian’s Wall - it was absolutely lovely.

See the other photos from this trip (warning, there are over a hundred…)
